Holiday Home Reading Record
I know that children (and parents) need a break from school and homework during the holidays however reading is still so important to keep up. I have made up this 'Holiday Home Reading' record sheet to encourage children to read through the holidays. When they reach a certain number of books they could receive a sticker and when they read 25 books they could receive a small treat. You could also use this sheet for younger children (not yet reading) who maybe reluctant to listen to you read.
How I Can Help in the Morning Chart
I have this chart on my daughter and son's doors. My child in Kindergarten found it useful to remember what to do each morning before playtime or homework. She would use a whiteboard marker to mark off what she had done. My four year old just wanted one to be like his sister.
Good Behaviour Chart
I know children need to know that, as part of the family, they should help out around the house and do their share. However I found with my children that they needed to learn how to help first. I made this up for my two children and it really helped. It also helps with teaching numbers, counting and addition to 10.
